IF YOU ARE ENTERING INTO THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF A DIOCESE OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITY, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO BIND SUCH ENTITY, ITS AFFILIATES AND ALL USERS WHO ACCESS THE DIRECTORY THROUGH YOUR ACCOUNT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, IN WHICH CASE THE TERMS “YOU” OR “YOUR” SHALL REFER TO SUCH ENTITY, ITS AFFILIATES AND USERS ASSOCIATED WITH IT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SUCH AUTHORITY, OR IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU MUST NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS OF AGREEMENT AND MAY NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
The New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference reserves the right to update and change the Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice. Please check this page regularly to ensure you are familiar with the current version.
Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise stated, NZCBC owns the intellectual property rights and all material on this website.
You may view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages from the website for your own personal use, subject to the restrictions set out below and elsewhere in these terms and conditions.
You must not:
- republish material from this website (including republication on another website);
- sell, rent or sub-license material from the website;
- show any material from the website in public;

Membership/Subscription
When registering to access the New Zealand Catholic Online Directory, you must provide accurate, complete and up to date information. Any personal information that you provide to NZCBC will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Statement Act 2020. Once you are registered, you will be assigned a username and must choose a password. You must keep your username and password confidential. You are solely responsible for any use of your username and password. Your username and password are personal to you and are not transferable. You must immediately notify NZCBC if you become aware of any unauthorised use or your username and password.
Acceptable Use
You must not use the New Zealand Catholic Online Directory in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the website; or in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity.
You must not use this website to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rootkit or other malicious computer software.
You must not conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including without limitation scraping, data mining, data extraction and data harvesting) on or in relation to this website without NZCBC’s written consent.
You must not use this website to transmit or send unsolicited commercial communications.
You must not use this website for any purposes related to marketing without NZCBC’s written consent.
You must not breach any applicable laws or regulations.
The New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference is not obliged to monitor any user’s use of the New Zealand Catholic Online Directory website but reserves the right to do so.
You will indemnify the NZCBC, its employees and contractors if any of them suffer any losses or incur any costs in connection with your breach of any of the terms or conditions set out in these Website Terms of Use.
Restricted Access
Access to certain areas of this website is restricted. NZCBC reserves the right to restrict access to other areas of this website at NZCBC’s discretion.
If NZCBC provides you with a user ID and password to enable you to access restricted areas of this website or other content or services, you must ensure that the user ID and password are kept confidential.
NZCBC may disable your user ID and password in NZ Catholic Online Directory without notice or explanation.
Complaints and Updates
We operate a complaints and updates handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise, please let us know if you have any complaints, updates and comments.
Accuracy of Information and Disclaimer Warranties

Availability and Termination
The NZCBC may change or discontinue the New Zealand Catholic Online Directory or any part of it, including content and availability without prior notice.
The NZCBC may also terminate this agreement and your access to the New Zealand Catholic Online Directory at any time without prior notice.
In the event of termination, you will no longer be authorised to access the New Zealand Catholic Online Directory, but all restrictions imposed upon you, licences granted by you, and disclaimers and limitations of liabilities set out below will survive.
